Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The girls left it all on the field Monday night against North Montgomery! They lost 0-2, but their resilience and effort made their coaches proud regardless of the score. Despite playing 10v11 the entire game with no subs available, this young team showed incredible heart, grit, determination, and teamwork. The girls dominated the field, kept the score 0-0 at halftime, and finished with 8 shots on goal while creating many other opportunities. The passing and communication as they consistently connected with each other throughout the entire game was a goal we had made team-wide, and they met & exceeded that goal! Even as fatigue set in, they never let their mental attitude slip. They continued to encourage one another, fight for every ball, and they played as a team from start to finish. Mahayla, our first-year goalkeeper, made an incredible 13 saves to keep us in the game! The final score doesn't tell the whole story. The resilience, teamwork, positive attitude, and determination these girls showed Monday evening are something to be proud of. We are so excited to improve in practice and to come out Wednesday ready to dominate yet again against Southmont at home!
