Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Lady Stars Varsity Soccer team fell 5-0 in their season opener on the road against conference opponent Southmont in a Monon Athletic Conference (MAC) match. The Mounties took a 2-0 lead at halftime before extending their advantage in the second half to win 5-0.  For Western Boone, sophomore Rachel Rustin started in goal for the first time in her varsity career. Senior captains Grace Maners, Alex Muir, and Brooklyn Vaughn provided leadership throughout the match.  The Lady Stars are back in action this Saturday, 8/22/26, at the Lebanon Invitational, where they will face Decatur Central in their first game. After that, Western Boone has a busy stretch ahead—five more matches in the next nine days.
