Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The varsity girls golf team won the first Sectional title is school history shooting a 378, winning by 8 stokes. With the goal of avenging a 2 stroke defeat last year, the Lady Stars struggled on the first nine making the turn behind the pack. Regrouping they shot a 173 on the final nine to make up the ground and then some. Stefanie Dickerson led the Stars with an 88. Freshmen, Ally Lewis and Jada Scott shot a 90 and 96 respectively. Ally Sparks shot a 104 and rounding it out was Lyla Jackson 106. The Stars will play in one of the toughest Regionals in the state Saturday at Battle Ground Golf Course.
