Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Lady Stars traveled to Roachdale to play game two of their series against the Lady Cougars of North Putnam. The Stars runs were of a premium in the contest as the Stars fall 2-1 after 10 innings. Ally Lewis got the start and pitch 4 shutout innings allowing 4 hits while striking out 4, Mickey Burns came in relief also pitched well allowing 2 unearned runs on 4 hits while striking out 5. The Stars had opportunities stranding runners twice at third with 1 out or less and committed a couple untimely errors. The Stars were lead at the plate by Burns and Lewis both collecting 2 hits each with Cadence Paris collecting the only other hit. The Stars battled and came up with a great play at the plate preventing the winning run in the 7th inning thanks to an absolute dart from Adi Lee in centerfield. The Stars will host McCutcheon on Friday Night followed by a double header against Tri-West also at Western Boone fields. Come on out and support you Lady Stars.
