Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The JH girls accomplished their first win of the season against Frankfort. The score was 3-0, with goals from Cheyenne Gibson, Caydence Paris, & Ava Orr. The team came out playing very strong in the first half with 14 shots to the goal by halftime. In the second half, the girls held the other team scoreless. Overall, they were very happy to score a win! Western Boone's Jr. High boys soccer team traveled to Frankfort Thursday evening to face off against the Hotdogs. The Stars were defeated 2-7 but showed amazing grit and determination. The defense of Alex Thompson, Declan Avila and Fritz Heine held Frankfort to shots outside the box for the most part. Playing goalie for the stars was Ben Twitty with 2 saves, Andres Morales with 8 saves, and Timothy Walker with 5 saves. Scoring for the Stars was Benson DeVol and Hernan Trincado. Manager Braylon DeVol said, “ I thought the team played great. We unfortunately had kids that were unable to show up but we played the best we could with what we had”. The Stars travel to North Montgomery next Tuesday.
