Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The boys high school golf team travelled to Rivercrest Golf Club on Saturday to compete in the Covington Early Bird Invitational. Two teams of six golfers each competed in a relaxed scramble format. Once again facing less than ideal conditions, several Stars got their first experience in an eighteen-hole match. The groups would finish 5th and 6th in the eight team field. Webo Blue shot a total score of 253, led by Rex Stanley and Alex Thompson at 78, Luke LaGrange and Carson Richardson scoring 81, and a 94 from Brennan Kopriva and Luke Cummins. Webo Red tallied a complete score of 285. Asher Foy and Landen Miller led the unit with an 88, followed by Jacob Norman and Ben Twitty contributing a 94, with Benson DeVol and Rolen Shue rounding it out with a score of103. The Stars have a busy week ahead as they play one home match sandwiched between two trips to Crawfordsville Country Club.
