Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

Stars Junior High split a pair of games with the Cougars of North Putnam. The B-team got back in the win column with a 4-3 victory. Brantley F started on the mound and threw 2 scoreless innings of baseball.  Tyler F and Chase B came in for relief and secure the victory.  Owen H had an amazing throw down at 3rd base and Liam S made a stellar catch in center field to lead the Stars defense.  SJ Hitch started the scoring for the B-team with multiple stolen bases including stealing home on a pass ball.  Weston R and Jackson G both got their first hits of the season and both stole multiple bases. The A-team fell short in a hard fought battle. Elijah P started on the mound striking out 5, walking 1, and giving up 2 hits, and 1 earned run through 3 innings.  Griffin J came in for relief giving up 6 runs. The bats were slow to start for the Stars but got going in the 4th inning which proved to be a little to late.  Stars JH is back in action next week when they travel to Frankfort to take on the Hotdogs.
