Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

Western Boone's Varsity Baseball Team traveled to North Montgomery Wednesday evening for game two of this week's MAC series. The Stars were unable to contain the Chargers and lost the game 14-2 in five innings. Beau Sawyer and Owen Oakly both pitched well in relief. Sayer allowed just one earned run while Oakley allowed zero. Mason Foster caught for the Stars and did a nice job defensively behind the plate. Layton Yancey had the team's only two RBI's and went 1 for 2 at the plate. Easton Nance and Jack Mallory each had a hit as well. Kahne Reid (1) Beau Sawyer (1) Jack Mallory (1) Layton Yancey (1) and Quinn Westerfeld (3) all reached base via base on balls. The Stars have to move on quickly as they host Sheridan tonight at 5:30 for a non-conference matchup with the Blackhawks.
