Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

Both WeBo Junior High Softball Teams competed against Cascade at home on Monday night. What turned out to be a tough night started with a 15 to 0 loss for the A Team. With several sixth graders starting in the infield, the team gained valuable experience against a full team of eighth graders. Amelia Stambro and Addi Gregg turned a double play on a pop fly. Against some tough pitching, Jayden Paris had another strong hit to the outfield and Cora Reagan had two doubles. Paris had the start in the circle, pitching well and giving up no earned runs while Reagan pitched in relief surrendering one earned run. The B Team also battled against tough, older competition. Addi Gregg was a workhorse on the mound, going 5 innings and only giving up one earned run in an 11-2 defeat. Nova Crahen had a single to get the offense started in the 4th inning and would go on to score. Kenzie Mikesell hit an RBI double to score Josephine McNamee to complete the Stars scoring. Both teams travel to McCutcheon Tuesday night for a 6 PM start.
