Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Lady Stars headed to West Lebanon to take on the Lady Patriots of Seeger for their season opener. The Stars recorded the win by run rule in 6 innings with the final tally being 13-2. Ally Lewis got the start in the circle going 3 and 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs (one earned) on 4 hits, 7 strike outs and 2 walks. Mickey Burns came in and threw 2 and 1/3 innings of shutout ball for the Stars in relief. She allowed zero hits, striking out 5 and walking 1. Western Boone plated 13 runs on 11 hits by 8 different Stars. Burns went 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs while Mady Monks collected multiple hits as well going 2 for 3 with 1 RBI on the evening. 4 Stars (Ashlyn Foster, Adi Lee, Raina Lutz and Burns) recorded doubles in the season opener. The Lady Stars will host the Lady Millers from Noblesville on Thursday, April 2nd with a 5:30pm start.
