Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The JH swim team traveled to Southmont on Thursday to compete in their last dual meet of the season. The boys team won 85-77. The girls team lost 96-77. The meet started off strong for the girls team with the medley relay teams finishing 1-2. In the 200 Free Ava Quilter swam a new best time dropping over 3 seconds. Alivia Adkins and Ryleigh Grant swam a new best time in the 50 Free. Ryleigh also swam a new best time in the 50 Fly as did Kynadi Dickerson. Alisha Manning and Hayley Trojnar finished 1-2 in the 100 Free both with new best times. In the 100 Breaststroke both Emmy Whiteley and Hayley Trojnar swam new best times. The boys medley relay teams finished 1-2. In the 200 Free Braxton Ford and Wayde Pollard achieved new best times. In the 100 IM both Harlan Threlkeld and Beau Threlkeld swam best times. In the 50 Free both Liam Sartin and Jackson Strong finished with best times. Liam also posted a new personal high score in diving. Ari Smith won the 50 Fly. In the 100 Free Jackson dropped over 5 seconds to swim a new best time. Wayde Pollard won the 100 Backstroke and dropped over 8 seconds to achieve a new best time. Gabriel Threlkeld dropped over 5 seconds in the 100 Breaststroke . The team is looking forward to competing in their conference meets next week at Crawfordsville. Girls compete on Monday and boys compete on Tuesday.
