The Western Boone Stars welcomed Brownsburg East, Cascade, and Tri-West on Wednesday evening for an exciting four-way junior high wrestling meet packed with pins, forfeits, and tightly contested matches. Western Boone vs. Cascade Western Boone came out strong and never looked back, earning a convincing 69–33 team victory over Cascade. The Stars set the tone early with quick pins from Jace Anderson (75) and Ty Williamson (80). Griffin Johanson (100) added a technical fall, while TJ McKinney (106) secured a lightning-fast pin in just 23 seconds. In the upper weights, Gage Fields (138), Ty Sanders (144), Aleena Beck (157), Kamden Talbert (175), Connor Palmer (190), Drake Wagner (215), and Caleb Douglas (275) all contributed wins to seal the team victory. Western Boone collected bonus points throughout the lineup, proving to be the difference in the dual. Western Boone vs. Brownsburg East The Stars battled to a hard-fought 63–46 win over Brownsburg East. Western Boone picked up key forfeits early and capitalized on bonus-point victories from Johanson (100) and Muir (120), both earning pins. Fields (138) delivered a dominant 13–0 major decision, and Talbert (175), Palmer (190), Wagner (215), and Douglas (275) closed the door with critical wins down the stretch. After trailing late in the middle weights, the Stars surged in the final bouts to secure the team win. Western Boone vs. Tri-West In the final dual of the evening, Western Boone fell to Tri-West 72–38. Despite the team result, the Stars had several bright spots. Anderson (75) and Williamson (80) opened with forfeits, while Austin Harlow (90) earned an impressive 11–4 decision. Brooklyn Bailey (120) and Simon Yarger (126) added wins, and Caleb Douglas (275) capped the dual with a strong technical fall victory. WeBo will be back on the mat Saturday when they travel to Hamilton Heights to compete in the Husky Duals. Wrestling starts at 9:00 AM.
