The Western Boone Stars hosted a three-way wrestling meet on February 12, welcoming Sheridan and Clinton Prairie for an exciting night on the mat. Western Boone came away with two impressive team victories, defeating Clinton Prairie 72-41 and rolling past Sheridan 89-13. Against Clinton Prairie, the Stars built an early lead with wins from Jace Anderson (80), Ty Williamson (85), Austin Harlow (90), and Gunner Shirley (95). Carter Crahen (100) battled tough before dropping a technical fall, but Western Boone quickly regained momentum. TJ McKinney (106), Nate Muir (113), and Griffin Johanson (120) each secured pins to extend the advantage. After a pair of losses at 126 and 132, the Stars responded in dominant fashion. Gage Fields (138) and Ty Sanders (144) won by forfeit, Aleena Beck (150) recorded a pin, and Kamden Talbert (175) added another fall. Caleb Douglas capped the dual with a forfeit victory at 275 to seal the 72-41 win. Western Boone was even more dominant in its matchup with Sheridan, jumping out to a 36-0 lead with six straight pins from Anderson, Williamson, Harlow, Shirley, Crahen, and McKinney. Muir added a technical fall at 113 to push the lead to 41-0. Although the Stars dropped matches at 120 and 157, they controlled the rest of the dual. Brookelyn Bailey (126), Gage Miller (132), and Fields (138) all earned pins. Sanders (144) won by forfeit, Beck (150) picked up another fall, Talbert (175) pinned his opponent in just 13 seconds, and Drake Wagner (215) and Caleb Douglas (275) closed out the night with victories. Overall, Western Boone showcased depth and balance across the lineup, collecting numerous pins while improving in front of the home crowd.
