Stars split with Brebeuf in Varsity Swim

The High School Swim team hosted Brebeuf Tuesday evening for a dual meet competition. The girls started their meet finishing in 2nd place in the Medley Relay with the team of Jaili Torp, Eisley Whitely, Joan Gearheart, and Claire Torp. Evie Maurath placed 2nd in the 200 Free, Ellie Whitely finished with a new PR in the 200 IM, and Kate Foy finished the diving competition with 107.05 points. In the 100 Free Eisley Whitely took 1st place and Evie Maurath finished in 2nd. The girls took 2nd place in the 200 Free Relay with the team of Ellie Whitely, Evie Maurath, Eisley Whitely, and Rebecca Rustin, and 2nd in the 400 Free Relay with the team of Evie Maurath, Rebecca Rustin, Rylee Pelley, and Joan Gearheart. Joan Gearheart took 2nd in the 100 Backstroke, and Eisley Whitely won 1st place in 100 Breaststroke. The Lady Stars fell to Brebeuf with a final score of 72-104. The boys meet started strong with the team of Jacob Norman, Liam Whitely, Isaac Threlkeld, and Jude Balke taking 1st place in the Medley Relay. In the 200 Free Henry Biggs finished in 1st place, Brayden Schick took 2nd, and Eli Baldwin finished with a new PR. Jacob Norman finished in 1st place in the 200 IM and Alex Crockett took 2nd. Isaac Threlkeld won the 50 Free, and Eli Bishop and Landon Smith both swam for new PR's in the 50 Free. Blaine Balentine won diving for the boys, and in the 100 Fly Isaac Threlkeld placed 1st and Liam Whitely took 2nd. Brayden Schick placed 2nd in the 100 Free, and Wes Redman swam for a new PR. The boys took 1st (Henry Biggs) and 2nd (Alex Crockett) places in the 500 Free, and in the 200 Free Relay the boys took 2nd with the team of Liam Whitely, Brayden Schick, Henry Biggs, and Jude Balke. Jacob Norman won the 100 Backstroke, and Eli Baldwin had a new PR. Liam Whitely won the 100 Breaststroke, and the boys took 1st in the 400 Free Relay. The boys won their meet with a final score of 113-59. The Stars will compete again at home on Thursday evening for their senior night against Southmont.
