Stars Dominate Frankfort in Friday Night Matchup The Western Boone Stars delivered an impressive performance Friday night as they took on the Frankfort Hot Dogs at Everett N. Case Arena. Although the Stars started off a bit slow, senior post player Isabella Fettig quickly changed the momentum. Her energy on both ends of the court stood out, and she scored all 8 of her points in the first quarter. Junior Ally Lewis followed Fettig’s lead, adding 6 of her 8 points during the opening period. With strong teamwork and fast-paced play, the Stars put up 20 points in the first quarter while holding Frankfort to just 5, setting the tone for the rest of the game. The Stars continued to control the matchup, eventually winning 51–18. Team captain Isabella Grady helped guide the offense, while fellow captain Emerson Gott contributed 10 points. Seniors Jada Sanders and Bailey Keyes came off the bench ready to make an impact, adding depth and energy to the lineup. From start to finish, it was a confident and well‑earned victory for WeBo, showcasing strong leadership, hustle, and teamwork across the roster. 📰 Lebanon Tops Western Boone in Annual Cancer Awareness Game Boone County’s long‑time rivals faced off Saturday night in the annual cancer awareness game, bringing extra energy and emotion to the matchup. This time, Western Boone came out strong, showing none of the slow start they had the night before. Lebanon, however, matched their intensity from the opening tip. Western Boone’s Isabella Grady provided an early spark off the bench, scoring 4 of her 12 points in the first quarter. She confidently sank both of her free throws—an area the Stars struggled with in Friday’s game against Frankfort. While the Stars played aggressive, entertaining defense, Lebanon found their rhythm from behind the arc. The Tigers knocked down four three‑pointers in the first quarter alone, building a 19–10 lead. Senior Jaylee Dickerson added a highlight for WeBo with a smooth three‑pointer from the right wing, assisted by Ila Stokes. In the second quarter, the Stars tightened up defensively and limited Lebanon’s outside shooting, cutting their three‑point production in half. Foul trouble kept junior guard Ally Lewis on the bench for the entire second quarter, but she came back with force in the second half. Lewis scored 18 of her 20 points in the third and fourth quarters, proving nearly unstoppable on offense. Despite her strong performance, the Stars couldn’t close the gap, and Lebanon secured a 59–42 victory. Western Boone returns to action Tuesday night as they take on Tri‑West, looking to bounce back with a strong team effort.
