Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Boys Tennis Team took to the courts on Saturday where they welcomed Covington, Lawrence Central, and Southmont for the Western Boone Invitational. The Stars have struggled over the past 4 years, as the Mounties and Trojans had split the previous 4 titles. That came to an end Saturday, as the Stars swept the competition in route to a WeBo Invite Title! The Stars had 8 players go undefeated on the day. Gavin Hawkins (1S), Tyler Konz (1D), Andrew Petro (1D), and Garrett Prickett (2D) went 3-0 on the day. They were followed up by Brady Warmoth (2S) and Owen Oakley (2D) going 2-0. Blake Maurath (2D) and Eli Mitchell (2D) each went 1-0 on the day. Jon Rutherford went undefeated at 3S, but lost his only match of the day at 2S.
