The Lady Stars lit up the gym Friday night as they powered past the Greencastle Tigers, 48–38, in a matchup that showcased energy, grit, and key contributions across the roster. Junior Ally Lewis came out on fire, setting the tone early on both ends of the floor. She scored 10 of her 15 points in the first quarter and racked up multiple steals, fueling the Stars’ fast start. Ila Stokes added to the momentum by knocking down a smooth three-pointer, and the Stars’ defense held strong to close out a dominant opening period. But the second quarter told a different story. Greencastle tightened up defensively, holding the Stars to just four points. Jaylee Dickerson broke through with a tough layup to stop the drought, keeping the Stars within reach as they headed into halftime. After the break, the Stars found their spark again, putting up nine points in the third quarter. Mickey Burns made her presence known with relentless defense and hustle, providing the energy shift the team needed. Isabelle Grady battled in the paint throughout the night and finished as the team’s leading rebounder, giving the Stars extra possessions in crucial moments. In the final quarter, Emerson Gott added her sixth point of the game to help close the door on the Tigers as the Stars regained full control of the matchup. When the clock hit zero, the Lady Stars walked away with a well-earned 48–38 victory, proving once again that teamwork and toughness make all the difference.
