Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Boys and Girls Swim teams hosted Crawfordsville Tuesday night for the first meet of the boys' season. The boys swam for 2nd place in the 200 Medley Relay with the team of Jacob Norman, Jude Balke, Isaac Threlkeld, and Zach Connors. Jacob Norman captured 1st place in the 200 Free and 500 Free, and Zach Connors placed 2nd in the 50 Free and the 100 Free. Isaac Threlkeld placed 2nd in the 100 Butterfly, and the boys placed 2nd in the 200 Free Relay (Isaac Threlkeld, Liam Whitely, Jude Balke, Zach Connors) and the 400 Free Relay (Alex Crockett, Henry Biggs, Liam Whitely, Jacob Norman). The boys lost to Crawfordsville with a final score of 68 to 117. For the girls' team, Eisley Whitely swam strong for 1st place in the 200 IM, and Ellie Whitely placed 2nd in the 50 Free. Lindsey Steimel placed 2nd in the 100 Butterfly, and the girls placed 2nd in the 200 Free Relay (Joan Gearheart, Evie Maurath, Rylee Pelley, Rebecca Rustin) and the 400 Free Relay (Evie Maurath, Lindsey Steimel, Rebecca Rustin, Eisley Whitely). The girls fell short and lost with a final score of 56 to 120. The Stars will compete again Thursday evening at North Montgomery High School.
