Sheridan, IN — November 25, 2025 The Western Boone Lady Stars battled for four quarters Tuesday night but ultimately came up short against the Sheridan Blackhawks by a final score of 45-33. The Stars opened the night with strong defensive energy, but early offensive struggles allowed Sheridan to build momentum. Junior Ally Lewis kept Western Boone in striking distance, leading the Stars with 18 points and dominating the glass. Her consistency inside the paint was crucial as the Stars worked to close the gap. Senior guard Ila Stokes added 5 points and provided ball pressure that helped slow Sheridan’s perimeter attack. Emerson Gott contributed 6 points, finding opportunities around the rim and helping steady the offense during key stretches. Sheridan’s scoring came primarily from a balanced attack led by Gardiner and Terry, who finished in transition and capitalized on second-chance opportunities. Western Boone’s defense tightened in the second half, but Sheridan’s early lead proved difficult to erase. Isabella Grady added 3 points for the Stars and brought aggressive defensive play, while Paris, Keyes, and Mickey Burns delivered valuable minutes off the bench, helping force turnovers and spark a late push. Despite a strong fourth-quarter effort, the Lady Stars couldn’t close the deficit, falling to Sheridan by a determined margin. The team showed resilience, teamwork, and improved ball movement as the game progressed—positive signs as they prepare for upcoming matchups. Western Boone looks to bounce back next week as they continue to develop their rhythm.
