The impressive statistic of the day was 3 wins came with the Stars losing the first set at those spots. The Stars were led by a straight victory from Jon Rutherford at 3 singles 7-5, 6-2. He was followed by 3 set wins from both doubles positions earning come from behind victories. Gavin Hawkins finished off the win by earning his own come from behind victory. Hawkins fell behind 0-3 in the 3rd set before eventually winning 5-7, 6-1, 6-4. The JV Stars had a solid afternoon, splitting 6 matches vs the Red Devils. The Stars earned wins from Blake Maurath, Logan Cripe, and Ethan Barnett. The Stars showed improvement in both their wins and losses. The Stars are back in action Tuesday where they’ll take on the Southmont Mounties at 4:30 PM.
