The Western Boone Stars showcased their size and physical style of play on Monday night, overpowering Rossville as the “A” team claimed a 62–46 victory. From the opening tip, the Stars controlled the tempo, attacking the paint and dominating the boards. Jackson Potter delivered another standout performance, leading all scorers with 25 points. Tate Fields added 16, using his aggressiveness to finish strong at the rim, while Lukas Harrison chipped in 12, providing steady two-way play throughout the night. The Stars’ strength and physicality proved to be too much for Rossville to handle as Webo pulled away in the second half. In “B” team” action, Western Boone battled to the final buzzer but came up just short in a 39–37 nail-biter. Crew Gallimore paced the Stars with an impressive 17 points, keeping the offense rolling throughout the game. Andrew Castillo and Drake Wagoner each added 6 points, helping fuel a strong team effort. Despite the loss, the “B” team showed resilience and continues to make strides. The stars are home Tuesday night with a 7th and 8th grade DH against Clinton Central.
