The 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams traveled to Speedway Thursday night to take on the Sparkplugs. The 7th grade team picked up their first win of the season. The Stars led the entire game, and despite Speedway’s comeback in the 4th quarter, the Stars hung on to win 32-30. The 7th and 8th grade basketball teams were in action Tuesday night. The 7th grade A and B teams were on the road as they faced the Frankfort Hot Dogs. The Stars had trouble getting their shots to fall, trailing at halftime. Despite looking to start a comeback in the third quarter, they eventually fell 44-23. 

Stars outmatched by the Bruins in season opener

The 7th and 8th grade boys basketball team traveled to Tri-West to face off the big Bruins Thursday night for their first game of the season. The 7th grade didn’t have an answer to the Bruins height or press and fell behind early, eventually losing 61-28.  The Stars were led in scoring by Marcus Fortner, scoring 10 points.
