Boy’s Tennis Dropped By Plainfield

The Western Boone boys tennis team dropped a tough match to the Plainfield Quakers 0-5 Monday evening. The Stars had opportunities, getting ahead in all 3 singles spots. The Quakers rallied and then pulled away with straight set wins at all 5 spots. The Stars return to conference action Tuesday when they travel to Frankfort.

Boys Tennis finishes the First Week 3-0

The Western Boone Stars tennis team finished their first week 3-0 after defeating the Pike Red Devils 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.  The Stars took a 2-0 lead with 1S Quentin Hicks (6-0, 6-2) and 3S Tyler Brunty (6-2, 6-2) earning the wins.  Both doubles teams (Hamerin/Bromberek) and (Lee/Smith) also earned straight set wins.
