Star swimmers sweep Northridge

The girls and boys swim teams traveled to Northridge Thursday night to take on the Cougars. The Western Boone swim team capped off a great season by taking fourth place out of 12 teams at Sectionals Saturday. The day began with the 200 Medley Relay team of Olivia Richardson, Lauren Jones, Macaya Himes and Regan Gubera placed second. In the 200 freestyle, MaKenna Steimel took 14th while Shelby Dorwart was 6th.

The Western Boone swimming and diving teams took on Clinton Central Tuesday evening. The girls team won 98-83 while the boys team fell 48-126. First place finishers for the Stars were the 200 medley relay team of Lauren Jones, Regan Gubera, Olivia Richardson and Macaya Himes. Regan Gubera and Jenna Mahin went 1-2 in diving.
