Howell named Boy’s Basketball Coach

BY WILL WILLEMS – SPORTS EDITOR DOVER — J.R. Howell wanted to get back to central Indiana. So when he saw the Western Boone boys basketball coaching position was open, he knew it was an opportunity he couldn’t pass up. Howell was approved as the new boys basketball coach for the Stars at Monday night’s board meeting.

Golf continues hot season

The WB Stars traveled to Eagle Creek to take on Covenant Christian and came away with a 165-182 win. The Stars top 7 players played the front 9 and had the following scores:  Drew Chadwick 39, Jason Smith and Jacob Meyer 40 each, Logan Marsh 42, Eli Weber 43, Nik Wilson 44, and Caleb Mills 49.
