Stars advance to final in 3-2 thriller

By Will Willems will.willems@reporter.net – May 17, 2019 FRANKFORT — The Western Boone girls tennis team was seeking redemption Friday night in their sectional semifinal match with Frankfort. The Hot Dogs were the last team to beat Western Boone this season, on April 22, and both teams eventually shared the Sagamore Conference title with North Montgomery.

Stars honor seniors against Danville

The Western Boone Lady Stars celebrated their 3 seniors last night before their final home game of the 2019 season. Seniors Brittany Hieston, Caitlin Smith and Heather Clark were escorted on the field in recognition of their contributions to the program.  However, the Stars fell short last night to conference opponent Danville Lady Warriors 7-0.

Huckstep crowned Champion as Lady Stars compete in Sectionals

Tuesday evening the Stars traveled to Hamilton Southeastern High School to compete in Sectional action. The Stars were able to acheive numerous PR’s and have one sectional champion!
