Stars edge Tigers by 1 stroke in JH golf

The Western Boone JH Coed golf team picked up two wins last night shooting a 220 compared to Lebanon 221 and Frankfort 246. They won in compelling fashion as it was last score in of Eli Mitchell’s 55 to pull out the 1 stroke win. Team medalist honors were shared by LaGrange 54 and Gadbury

WB boys golf team narrowly defeated by Frankfort

The WB Boys golf team lost a tough match at Frankfort, losing by 2 shots 198-200. Tyler Dickerson led the Stars with a 49, Luke Marsh and Damian Stout each had a 50, and Levi LaGrange added a 51. The Stars will be back in action Thursday at Bear Slide to take on Hamilton Heights.

The varsity girls tennis team remains unblemished on the young season

The varsity girls tennis team advanced to 4-0 Wednesday with a win over Attica. Due to a depleted lineup, Attica only had a 1S and 1D team available, so the Stars ran an all senior lineup with 1S Katelyn Jahn and 1D Lindsey Coffman/Kaley Hawkins all winning 6-0, 6-0. The JV team remains at 2-1.

The Western Boone Stars Varsity baseball team watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 11-4 loss to North Montgomery on Tuesday. One bad inning haunts Stars in opener
