News · The Varsity softball team scored 23 runs and stole 12 bases to defeat North Montgomery


Emma Shirley was clutch at the plate with runners on base on Tuesday, driving in four on one hits to lead Western Boone past North Montgomery 23-2 on Tuesday. Shirley drove in runs on a double in the second.
The Stars got things started in the first inning when Mya Fisher singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.
Western Boone notched seven runs in the second inning.  The offensive onslaught came from a walk by Mckenzie Amich, a single by Emily Conyer, an error on a ball put in play by Fisher, and a double by Shirley.
Hannah Redlin pitched the Stars to victory. Redlin allowed three hits and two runs over five innings, striking out five.
Western Boone tallied nine hits. Conyer, Jozzy Lewis, and Fisher all managed multiple hits for Western Boone. Conyer led the Stars with three hits in three at bats.  Western Boone stole 12 bases during the game as four players stole more than one. Shirley led the way with five.
