News · Stars score 20 runs to easily defeat Bronchos in varsity girls softball

The Western Boone Varsity Stars easily dismantled the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos Varsity 20-1 on Wednesday.
The girls got things started in the first inning and never looked back as they scored three runs off of a double by Mya Fisher.
The Stars notched seven runs in the third inning with Jozzy Lewis, Hannah Redlin, Emma Shirley, and Gabby Lewis all moving runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Redlin took the win for Western Boone Varsity Stars. Redlin lasted four innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out four. Gabby Lewis threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Kaylie Adams took the loss for Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos Varsity. The righty went one inning, allowing five runs on three hits, striking out one and walking one.
Western Boone Varsity Stars collected 13 hits.  Gabby Lewis, Redlin, Jozzy Lewis, and Fisher each collected multiple hits for Western Boone Varsity Stars.  Redlin and Jozzy Lewis each collected three hits to lead Western Boone Varsity Stars.
