News · The JH Softball teams split with Tri-West in season opener

The JH softball A and B team opened their season against Tri-West this evening. The A team started the night off with their first win of the season. Ally Lewis started off strong pitching 4 great innings, Mickey Burns relieved her with 2 strong innings. Finishing the night off was Emma McClaine. Kenzlei Mathews proved strong at the plate with 4 RBIs on the night. After the nerves settled, the Stars won with a victory over Tri-West 9 to 4.
In the following game, the girls started out strong, but lost momentum. Kenzlei Mathews pitched  2 innings and did an excellent job digging herself out of a hole. Izzy Grady relieved Mathews and finished strong but the girls came up short. The Girls looked great but some minor errors hurt their stride. They fell 9-3 to Tri-West. We are proud of all the girls handwork and great sportsmanship.
The A and B team will travel to Clinton Prairie Thursday night to take on the Gophers at 5:45 pm!!
