News · Stars face Warriors in Jr. High Swimming

The junior high swim teams faced Danville on Thursday night in a challenging meet.  Both teams fell to the Warriors (girls: 119-58; boys: 122-48).  Winning for the Stars in the meet were: Lilly Maners in the 50-yard freestyle (33.75); Isaac Threlkeld in the 50-yard freestyle (28.14); and the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Maners, Lindsey Steimel, Abigail Scott, and Jenna Twitty in a time of 5:10.04.  Other top finishes for the evening included: a close second 200-yard freestyle from Jacob Norman; second-place for Lindsey Steimel in the 200 freestyle and 50-yard butterfly; second-place in the 100-yard IM and 100-yard freestyle for Jenna Twitty; second-place in the 50-yard freestyle for Abigail Scott; second-place in the 100-yard freestyle for Isaac Threlkeld; third-place for Adreyan Welch in the 100-yard backstroke; second-place in the 400-yard freestyle for Lilly Maners; and third-place in the 100-yard breaststroke for Carver Bragg.  The junior high swimmers will travel to Clinton Central next Tuesday!
