News · Wrestling Team Plagued by Forfeits, but Continues to Compete

The limited number of wrestlers competing for the varsity wrestling team often means it is statistically impossible for the team to win a dual meet.  However, the individual athletes continue to build upon their success.

On Tuesday, the Stars traveled to Wolf country to challenge Parke Heritage.  Only five wrestlers were eligible to compete for the Stars, but all five wrestlers won their matches.  Winning wrestlers for Western Boone were Mason Adams, Jaden Bailey, Trevor Weakley, Brant Pitcher, and Perrin Emberton.  Parke Heritage won the dual meet, 48-26, after receiving 48 points in forfeits.

At the conclusion of the official meet, each Western Boone wrestler competed a second time against varsity wrestlers in heavier weight classes for Parke Heritage.  Once again, all five wrestlers for the Stars were victorious.  The Stars were 10-0 in head-to-head matches for the evening.

This Thursday, the Stars will host the Lebanon Tigers for senior night
