Girls 7th Grade Basketball, Girls 8th Grade Basketball · 7/8th Girls’ Basketball in action


The 7th and 8th grade Lady Stars hosted the Frankfort Hot Dogs on Thursday, February 13th. The 7th grade Stars got an early lead and was consistent for 4 quarters and secured the win 23-6. Leading the Lady Stars was Olivia Reagan with 13 points and 8 rebounds.  Amaya Westerfeld grabbed 10 rebounds, while Becca Keyes chipped in 6 points along with 6 steals.

The 8th grade girls’ basketball team got their first victory last night defeating Frankfort. The Stars led 10-7 at halftime and came out fired up to extend their lead 16-9. Frankfort fought back but the Stars held them off by hitting free throws in the end. Aliegh Snow led the Stars with 9 rebounds, going 6 for 6 from the line, and displaying excellent effort on the night. Lillie Cripe added 5 points and some great defense. Ki’erra Koch had 6 steals and 6 rebounds while Stefanie Dickerson added 4 steals.

The Lady Stars were in action on Tuesday, February 18th, against the Danville Warriors. The 7th grade Stars had a hard time handling the basketball and got down early.  The Stars made a run in the second half, but the Warriors answered back with a run of their own defeating the Stars 36-15. Leading the way for the Stars was Becca Keyes with 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals.  Olivia Reagan added 3 points and 8 rebounds.

The 8th grade Lady Stars lost to a very strong Danville squad, 41-9. Stefanie Dickerson led the team with 7 points and 5 steals. Aliegh Snow led the Stars in rebounding with 8 while Ki’erra Koch added 7.

The Lady Stars will be back on the court Tuesday when they travel to Zionsville West Middle School to take on the Eagles at 5:30 PM.
