Boys Middle School Swimming, Girls Middle School Swimming · Stars finish 2nd and 3rd at Southmont

The junior high swimmers kicked off their season at a three-way meet against Northridge and Southmont middle schools on Tuesday night. The girls earned second place to Northridge by a narrow 11-point margin while the boys’ team came in third place. Top performances of the evening included Ari Stieber in the 100 IM and 400 Freestyle, earning first place in both events. Addie Jones also earned a first-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke. The girls’ relay team of Stieber, Jones, Nevaeh Gallimore, and Hannah Hayden finished first in the 200 Medley Relay. Stieber made a powerful comeback in the final leg of the 200 Free Relay to finish first with Jones, Hayden, and Kaitlyn Crowley. Samantha Jones, Linzy Stow, Jenna Twitty, and Gallimore also placed first in the 400 Free Relay. For the boys, Wyatt Barnett led the Stars with two third-place finishes in the 200 Freestyle and 50 Butterfly.
