Boys Junior Varsity Basketball, Boys Varsity Basketball · Stoudemire leads Stars past Bulldogs


The boys JV and varsity teams were the host Saturday afternoon when the Clinton Central Bulldogs came into town. The JV team fell to the Bulldogs 37-53. The Stars were unable to get defensive rebounds to finish possessions throughout the whole game. Garrett Morton led the Stars with 12 points. Blake Miller added 9 and John Harlos also added 7.

The varsity team were back in action on Saturday afternoon as they took on the Clinton Central Bulldogs. The Stars jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, winning the contest 71-54. The Stars were led by senior guard, Cortez Stoudemire, who score 39 points on the day shooting 16/21 from the field and also adding 5 rebounds. Spencer Wright was the only other Star in double figures with 10 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 steals respectively on the day.

The Stars will be busy this week. Traveling to Crawfordsville on Tuesday and Speedway on Thursday. They will wrap up the week with a game against the Zionsville Eagles on Saturday.
