Boys Freshmen Basketball · Stars’ balanced attack enough against the Gophers


The freshman boys basketball team hosted the Clinton Prairie Gophers Wednesday Night for their final home game of the season. The Stars were able to use their depth and a balanced attack to earn the victory, 42-24. Kaden Bennington, who led the team with 9 points, hit a three on the first possession which set the tone for the rest of the game. Nine of ten players on the roster were able to get in the scoring column and every single player made a significant contribution to the victory at some point in the game. Defensively, the Stars set a goal to hold their opponent to 25 or less and were able to do so (24). The enjoyable night was completed when Evan Koch hit a late baseline three off of a set to the delight of his teammates and home crowd.
