Boys 7th Grade Basketball, Boys 8th Grade Basketball · Stars outmatched by the Tigers


The 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams were in action Tuesday night as they faced the Lebanon Tigers. The 7th grade was at home, while the 8th grade was at Lebanon.

The 7th grade team fell at home to the Lebanon Tigers 47-10. The Stars were outmatched with the Tigers. The Stars were unable to get their shots to fall, despite some great effort throughout the night. The B team had similar issues that the A team experienced, falling to the Tigers 32-16.

The 8th grade team traveled to Lebanon to play the Tigers. The Stars were unable to get into a their offense as Lebanon opened the game in a full court press. The press got to the Stars and they turned the ball over giving the Tigers lay ups for most of the first half. The Stars could not overcome the turnovers and second half shooting and fell the the Tigers 57-14. Philip Talbot led the Stars with 9 points. The B team suffered the same fate. The Tigers outside shooting and second chance points were the downfall for the Stars, the final score was 45-13. Nathan Reid led the Stars with 5 points.
The 7th grade Stars will be back in action next Wednesday, January 29th, as they host Clinton Central starting at 6:00 PM. The 8th grade Stars will be back in action Thursday as they travel to North Montgomery HS for the first round of the Sagamore Conference Tournament starting at 6:00 PM.
