The girls basketball team traveled to Clinton Prairie Saturday morning to take on the Gophers. The JV team had a rocky start into their game. The slow start gave them an 8-24 deficit at the break. The Stars made some adjustments in order to slow down the Gopher offense, but the lead was too much for the Stars as they fell 15-34 to the Gophers.
In the second game, the varsity team struggled to protect the ball throughout the game. The Stars fell to Clinton Prairie with a score of 36-47. The Stars had many contributors in the game. Kara Brewer led the Stars with 11 points and Hillary Reed had 9 points. Tori Wilkinson pulled down 10 rebounds and Addy Bascom also pulled down 7 rebounds. Coming off the bench, Katheryn Rutherford chipped in 7 points and Lauryn Florey added in 6.
The Stars will gear up on Tuesday as they travel to Crawfordsville to take on the Athenians. JV will start at 6:00 PM, the varsity will start at 7:30 PM.
