The freshman boys basketball team traveled to Rossville to play their first game with all players eligible and were able to get the victory, 25-22. The Stars were led in scoring by Levi LaGrange with 10 points. Evan Crowley and Kaden Bennington added 4 points each. Though the Stars struggled all night to find their shooting touch, their team defense never relented and kept them in the game. The Stars offense picked up in the 4th quarter as LaGrange and Luke Barta had back to back threes as well as some good pick and roll plays by Bennington and Eli McClaine. The Stars sealed the victory with Crowley stealing the ball on the final possession. Jake Taylor, Damian Stout, Jake Johnson, and Blake Miller played a pivotal role on the defensive end to help the Stars.
The Stars will be back in action Thursday when they travel to Lebanon to face the Tigers at 6:00 PM.
