The Western Boone C-Team were in action Thursday night as they traveled to Tri-West to take on the Bruins. The Stars fell to Tri-West 40-25. The Stars were led in scoring by Damian Stout with 11 points and Corbin Jones added 6. A turnover plagued sluggish start had the Stars in a big hole early and climbing an uphill battle the rest of the night. After trailing by as many as 22 points in the third quarter, the team began to find its rhythm and battled to play the Bruins almost even in the second half and scored more points, 13, in the fourth quarter than the previous three quarters combined, 12. This was despite having to play a ton of minutes due to only 6 players eligible to compete. In addition to leading the team in scoring, Damian Stout played a solid game in all areas, Corbin Jones impacted the game in the paint at both ends & Kaden Bennington made solid contributions on hustle plays throughout.
The Stars will be back in action Monday as they travel to Rossville for a 6:00 PM start.
