The Western Boone volleyball teams were in action Thursday night as they took on the North Montgomery Chargers. Before the varsity game, the 4 wonderful seniors were celebrated for all their hard work and accomplishments. The volleyball team was proud to recognize Holly Thompson, Maddie Holubik, Tori Wilkinson, and Anna Jones. They have been great players in their 4 years on the high school team and have made a lasting impact on the team. The Stars did not disappoint as they swept the Chargers in straight sets to remain unbeaten in conference play. The JV had another great night beating the chargers 25-10 and 25-6. Saige Terwiske led the offense with 6 kills and Audrey Dunn had 5. Jacelyn Wilson and Chloe Gillan each had 4 digs. The varsity team were able to beat the chargers 25-17, 25-6, and 25-9. On one of their last home games, the seniors stepped up and had a great night with Tori Wilkinson leading the team with 13 kills and Anna Jones having 3 kills. Kendal Ramey and Kennedy Kiger both had 9 kills. Holly Thompson finished the night with 24 assists and Maddie Holubik had 22 digs.
The Stars have one more week left of their season. Tuesday night is Dig Pink night to earn money for breast cancer. Please come to the match to support the Stars and cheer them on as they play Tri-West for the conference title starting at 6:00 pm.
