The Varsity Softball team’s season came to a close Tuesday night. The Stars fell behind early and could not come back in a 9-5 loss to Southmont. The Stars racked up eight hits on the day with Paige Armstrong and Hillary Reed each managing two hits to lead the team. The Stars notched three runs in the seventh inning with Mya Fisher, Hannah Redlin, and Anna Jones all moving runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. The comeback bid fell short with the final score at 9-5. Redlin was on the mound for the Stars as she allowed five hits and six runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one.
