Girls Middle School Softball · Stars’ errors pushes Lebanon on top


The junior high softball teams traveled to Lebanon Tuesday night. It was a tight game throughout the night in the A game. The Stars had a costly 5th inning with 4 errors leading to a 16-5 defeat against the Tigers. Makenzie Amich was on the mound for the Stars. Jacelyn Wilson was perfect in the batters box, going 3-3 on singles. Emmy Roys reached on base with a double and had a w rbis. Olivia Reagan excited the crowd with an inside the park home run.

The B team lost to Lebanon as well 12-9. Multiple Stars hit the ball well throughout the game. Sarah Keppel started the game with a single. Savannah Bishop reached on base twice with singles and scoring in two runners. Cora Deane, Ella Kail, and Peri McClaskey had a single, Ella Shepherd and Annie Rogers with a double. Olivia Smith went a perfect 2-2 at the plate. Emma McClaine was on the mound and recorded 3 strikeouts.

The Stars will be in action on Thursday when they face the Clinton Prairie Gophers starting at 5:00 pm.
