The junior high softball team traveled to Tri-West Tuesday night. The A team struggled defensively, having 7 errors throughout the night. Tri-West was on the board in the first inning with 2 runs. The Bruins added 9 throughout the night as the Lady Stars could only tally 1 run on the night. Emmy Roys had a single and double. Alaina Ward battled in Roys to score the loan run for the Stars. Ward finished the game with a single and double. Stars fell to the Bruins 11-1.
The B team struggled defensively as well, giving up 17 runs on the night. Emma McClaine reached on base with a single to start the game. Ella Shepherd had a single and RBI. McClaine was on the mound and had a strikeout on the night.
The Stars look to bounce back tonight as they host Southmont at 5:30 pm.
