Girls 7th Grade Basketball, Girls 8th Grade Basketball · Lady Stars split with Athenians


The Western Boone 7th grade girls basketball team traveled to Crawfordsville Middle School on Wednesday evening to compete with the Lady Athenians. In what was a close, hard-fought battle the entire way, the Lady Stars eventually were defeated by a final score of 32-26. Leading the way in the scoring column was Stefanie Dickerson, who finished the night with 14 points.  Jazmine Bowling and Aliegh Snow each added 4 points. Lady Star rebounders were led by Alayna Christner, who grabbed 8, while Snow and Dickerson each finished with 6.  Grace Miller and Dickerson also led the Lady Stars’ defense, combining for 11 steals on the night.

The Lady Stars wrap up their season on Monday, March 4th, when they host Southmont in a make-up game previously postponed due to bad weather.  The game is scheduled for 6:00 pm.

The 8th grade Lady Stars traveled to Crawfordsville last night for their final game of the season. Webo defeated the Athenians 51-8. With a great team effort, the Stars dominated from the start with all girls seeing action. Emily Conyer led with 16 points and 4 steals while Emmy Roys had 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. Macy Woodrum added 8 points and 6 rebounds.

The 8th Lady Stars finished the season with a record of 11-4.
