The Western Boone 7th grade girls basketball team traveled to Tri-West on Monday evening to face off with the Lady Bruins. The Lady Stars fell behind early, taking a 10-3 deficit into the locker room at halftime. They managed to get within five points in the fourth quarter, but the Bruins’ 3-point shooting proved to be too much to overcome, as the Lady Stars fell by a final score of 24-11. Stefanie Dickerson led the Lady Stars’ scoring effort, finishing the night with 4 points, while Cheyenne Isenhower added 3. Grace Miller led all rebounders with 8, while Miller and Dickerson combined for 6 steals and a pair of blocked shots on defense.
The 8th grade Lady Stars fell to Tri-West as well with a score of 28-20. Webo was led by Emmy Roys with 12 points and 4 blocks, while Emily Conyer added 5 points and 5 rebounds.
The Lady Stars return to action on Wednesday, as they travel to Crawfordsville for a 6 pm tip-off.
