Boys Middle School Swimming, Girls Middle School Swimming · Stars swimmers split with Northridge

Our Western Boone junior high swim and dive teams hosted Northridge last night.  Our girls’ team remain undefeated, winning 119-61. Our boys’ team lost a close one to Northridge, 82-75.
The girls 200 yard medley relay team of Rashel Anderson, Adelaide Jones, Katherine Aliff, and Emma Mitchell placed first.  Fourth place went to the team of Hannah Kinsel, Jaci Swope, Bella Marsh, and Micah Hole.
Adelaide Jones and Katie Crowley were first and second in the 200 yard freestyle. Jones also won the 100 yard freestyle with Crowley placed third in that event.
Tanner Weakley easily won the 200 yard freestyle as well as the 100 yard backstroke. Thomas Haram placed fourth in the 200 free. Daniel Talbott was second in both the 100 yard backstroke and 50 yard butterfly.
Emma Mitchell and KaLeigh Steimel placed first and second in the 100 yard individual medley. Linzy Stow was fourth. Mitchell also came in first in the 400 yard freestyle. Hannah Kinsel and Micah Hole placed fourth and fifth in the 400.
Carson Griggs won the 400 yard freestyle and placed second in the 100 individual medley.
Hannah Hayden, Rashel Anderson, and Nevaeh Gallimore scored several points for the team placing second, third and fourth in the 50 yard freestyle.
Hayden, Aliff, and Steimel shut-out Northridge placing first, second, and third in the 50 yard butterfly.
Leelah Fettig and Avalynn Hankins were first and second in diving.
Adam Smith and Luke Whiteley placed first and second in the boy’s 50 yard freestyle.  Whiteley won the 100 yard breaststroke and Zane Allen was third in that event.  Allen also placed second in the 100 yard freestyle and Isaac Garringer came in fifth.
The girls 200 yard freestyle relay team of Katie Crowley, KaLeigh Steimel, Katherine Aliff, and Hannah Hayden placed first.  Third went to the team of Lilly Wilhite, Brooklyn Schiery, Linzy Stow, and Nevaeh Gallimore.
The boys 200 yard freestyle relay also placed first with the team of  Luke Whiteley, Zane Allen, Thomas Haram, and Adam Smith.
Rashel Anderson and Veronica Pope were first and second in the 100 yard backstroke.  Annabelle Mickschl placed fifth in that event.
Lilly Wilhite, Jaci Swope, and Brooklyn Schiery placed third, fourth, and fifth in the 100 yard breastroke.
WeBo took first and second in the girl’s 400 yard freestyle relay.   In first place was Adelaide Jones, Hannah Hayden, Emma Mitchell, and Rashel Anderson. Second place went to Micah Hole, Katherine Aliff, KaLeigh Steimel, and Katie Crowley. Fourth placed went to Jenna Twitty, Hannah Kinsel, Veronica Pope, and Annabelle Mickschl.
The boys 400 yard freestyle relay team also placed first. That team included Carson Griggs, Daniel Talbott, Thomas Haram, and Tanner Weakley.
Best times for the night were achieved by Adelaide Jones, Annabelle Mickschl, Avalynn Hankins, Brooklyn Schiery, Emma Mitchell, Hannah Hayden, Jenna Twitty, KaLeigh Steimel, Katherine Aliff, Leelah Fettig, Lilly Wilhite, Nevaeh Gallimore, Veronica Pope, Adam Smith, Carson Griggs, Luke Whiteley, Tanner Weakley, Thomas Haram, and Zane Allen.
The Stars will travel to Crawfordsville on Tuesday to take on the Athenians at 6:00 pm.
