Boys Middle School Swimming, Girls Middle School Swimming · Star swimmers split with Lebanon

The Western Boone junior high swim teams traveled down the road to face conference rival the Lebanon Tigers.
Our girls junior high swim team pulled off an exciting win against Lebanon, 94-92.
In the 200 yard medley relay, the team of Rashel Anderson, Adelaide Jones, KaLeigh Stimel, and Emma Michell placed second.  Third in the medley relay was the team of Jenna Twitty, Lilly Wilhite, Katherine Aliff, and Nevaeh Gallimore.
Emma Mitchell placed second in the 200 and 400 yard freestyle.  Katie Crowley placed third in the 200 free.  Jenna Twitty finished fifth in the 400 free.
Adelaide Jones was first in the 100 yard individual medley and the 100 yard breaststroke.  KaLeigh Steimel placed third in the 100 IM.  Jaci Swope was fourth in the 100 breaststroke.
Hannah Hayden placed first in the 50 freestyle followed by Linzy Stow and Nevaeh Gallimore in third and fourth.
Katherine Aliff and KaLeigh Steimel were second and third in the 50 yard butterfly.
WeBo girls placed second, third, and fourth in the 100 yard freestyle with Hannah Hayden, Rashel Anderson, and Katie Crowley.
KaLeigh Steimel, Katie Crowley, Nevaeh Gallimore, and Hannah Hayden won the 200 free relay. Third place was the team of Lilly Wilhite, Jaci Swope, Linzy Stow, and Katherine Aliff.
Rashel Anderson placed second in the 100 backstroke. Veronica Pope and Hannah Kinsel were fourth and fifth.
The winner of the meet came down to the last relay. WeBo needed to either win the race or place second and third. Hayden, Anderson, Mitchell, and Jones were second. Aliff, Gallimore, Kinsel, and Crowley were third.
WeBo boys lost to Lebanon, 130-46.
Daniel Talbott, Luke Whitely, Carson Griggs, and Tanner Weakley won the 200 medley relay.
Tanner Weakley placed second in the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle.
Carson Griggs was second in the 100 individual medley and third in the 50 butterfly.
Adam Smith placed third in the 50 freestyle followed by Luke Whiteley in fifth.
Daniel Talbott placed second in the 100 freestyle, Thomas Haram was fifth. Talbott was fourth in the 100 backstroke and Isaac Garringer was fifth.
The 200 free relay team of Luke Whiteley, Zane Allen, Thomas Haram, and Adam Smith placed third.
Luke Whiteley had a close race in the 100 breaststroke, placing second. Zane Allen was fourth.
The boys 400 free relay team came in second with Griggs, Smith, Talbott, and Weakley.
