Boys Middle School Swimming, Girls Middle School Swimming · Stars split with Bruins


The Western Boone junior high swimming and diving teams hosted Tri-West for their second meet of the season.  The girls team won 124-56.  The boys team lost to Tri-West, 113-61.
The 200 yard medley relay for girls was won with the team of Rashel Anderson, Adelaide Jones, Katherine Aliff, and Emma Mitchell. Third place was the team of Veronica Pope, Leelah Fettig, KaLeigh Steimel, Nevaeh Gallimore.
The boys 200 yard medley relay was second with Daniel Talbott, Luke Whiteley, Carson Griggs, and Tanner Weakley.
Hannah Hayden and Katie Crowley were first and second and the 200 yard freestyle.  Hayden won the girls 100 yard freestyle with Micah Hole placing third.
Tanner Weakley placed second in both the 200 and 400 yard freestyle.
Zane Allen was third in the boys 200 yard free.
Emma Michell won the 100 yard individual medley as well as the 400 yard freestyle.
Daniel Talbott took second place in both the 100 yard individual medley and the 100 yard backstroke.
Adelaide Jones and Rashel Anderson were first and second in the 50 yard freestyle. Jones was first in the 100 yard breaststroke and Anderson first in the 100 yard backstroke. Veronica Pope placed third in the backstroke.
Leelah Fettig was first in diving with Avalynn Hankins second.
KaLeigh Steimel and Katherine Aliff were first and second in the girls 50 yard butterfly.  Steimel was second in the breaststroke.  While Aliff placed third in the 400.
Carson Griggs was first in the 50 yard butterfly and third in the 50 yard freestyle.
WeBo girls took first and second in the 200 yard freestyle relay. First was Hannah Hayden, KaLeigh Steimel, Katie Crowley and Adelaide Jones. Second was Leelah Fettig, Hannah Kinsel, Micah Hole, and Brooklyn Schiery.
The boys team placed second in the 200 yard free relay with Luke Whiteley, Zane Allen, Thomas Haram, and Adam Smith.  Whiteley placed third in the 100 yard breaststroke.
The girl’s relay team of Hannah Hayden, Katie Crowley, Rashel Anderson, and Emma Mitchell won the 400 yard freestyle relay.  Third place was the team of Hannah Kinsel, Nevaeh Gallimore, Micah Hole, and Katherine Aliff.
The boy’s 400 yard freestyle relay team won with Carson Griggs, Daniel Talbott, Thomas Haram, and Tanner Weakley.
WeBo will travel to Lebanon on Tuesday to face the Tigers starting at 6:00 pm.
