The 7th grade girls basketball team hosted Speedway on Monday evening, and while they played the Sparkplugs tough from start to finish, couldn’t find enough offense to pull out a victory, losing 20-11. The Lady Stars went into halftime down by just two points, but had a hard time getting good looks in the second half. Putting points on the board for the Stars were Stefanie Dickerson with 6, Cheyenne Isenhower with 3 and Aliegh Snow rounded out the scoring with 2 points. Isenhower led the Stars with 8 rebounds, while Grace Miller added 5. Dickerson also registered 5 steals on defense.
The 8th grade girls basketball team hosted the Speedway Sparkplugs last night. The Lady Stars came out strong and led throughout the game with a final score of 51-6. With multiple girls contributing in their own ways, Emily Conyer led the team in scoring with 17 points and 9 steals. Followed by Emmy Roys who had 14 points and team high 7 rebounds. Katheryn Rutherford with a great defensive effort had 9 steals as well as 4 points.
The Lady Stars will be back in action Wednesday night as they host the Northridge Lady Cougars starting at 6:00 pm.
