Boys Junior Varsity Basketball, Boys Varsity Basketball · Stars fall to Bruins

The Varsity Boys’ Basketball team made up their game with Tri-West on the Bruins home floor on Saturday afternoon. After falling behind 8 points the first half, the Stars battled hard to take the lead 40-39 after three quarters. The Bruins took the lead and extended it to 10 in the fourth, but the Stars battled back to cut it to three but could not complete the comeback falling 54-59.

Cortez Stoudemire led the Stars with 25 points going 12 for 13 from the free throw line. Peyton Young dished out 4 assists and Lucas Morton pulled down 5 rebounds.

The Stars host both Speedway on Thursday and Rossville on Friday. The JV games start at 6:00 pm, with the varsity to follow.
